• Why did you want to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Digital Media, Film & Journalism?

  I wanted to attend because I’m really interested in journalism and I want to be an anchorwoman for a career. I thought this would be a great opportunity to get new experiences, meet new people, and find connections.

   

• What part of the NYLF Digital Media, Film & Journalism did you enjoy the most?

  I liked going to the New York Film Academy because it was really cool to work with people who were experienced in their field and could share their experiences and inspiration with me.

   

• What was the most valuable thing you learned from your time at NYLF Digital Media, Film & Journalism?

  I learned that I need to be more involved at school. It was really helpful to learn from people who have been in my shoes and now they’re able to give me insight that will be helpful for my journey.

• What would you tell another student who is considering whether or not to come to NYLF Digital Media, Film & Journalism?

  I would tell them it is a stimulating and provocative program that guarantees personal and academic growth.

• What would you say to parents about the value of attending this program for their child?

  Your child will definitely grow, whether it’s intellectually, socially, and culturally. They’re going to grow in various ways by making new friends and getting exposure to campus life. I’m glad I attended because I was able to make healthy life long connections.

  
• What do you think makes NYLF Digital Media, Film & Journalism different from other career and leadership conferences?

  NYLF Digital Media, Broadcast & Journalism is different from other conferences because there was so much global diversity in the students at the camp. Also we were able to go off campus in a great, huge city, The Big Apple, to experience media in a variety of practical formats.
