• Why did you want to attend National Youth Leadership Forum Law & CSI?

  The main reason I wanted to participate in NYLF Law & CSI was to capture a feel of what my future will hold in the world of law and crime. I wanted to learn key fundamentals and ways to be a successful lawyer and also understand the life of a typical lawyer and what they go through on a daily basis. I also wanted to meet people of different backgrounds who were interested in the same profession that I am.

• What skills did you learn at NYLF Law & CSI that you use in everyday life?

  I’m extremely independent, but the program required me to work with and socialize with intelligent individuals who aspire for success, just like me.

• What was the most valuable thing you learned from NYLF Careers in Law & CSI?

  The most valuable thing I learned was to master skills that help me deal with difficult cases that may question my faith, beliefs, morals, or ethics.

• What’s your favorite memory from NYLF Law & CSI?

  The trip to Washington, DC to see the Lincoln Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and so many others was my favorite memory. Experiencing these memorials with new friends met through the program made the experience even more worthwhile.

• What would you tell another student who has the chance to come to a program like this?

  Say yes to the opportunity because it is certainly a life-altering event you don’t want to miss.

• Do you feel that NYLF Law & CSI helped you test drive your career choice prior to college?

  Yes, NYLF Law & CSI helped me test my drive my career in law and I don’t regret the experience.
