“My mother told me: ‘You’re going to come back, and being a nurse won’t be enough. You’re going to want to be a doctor.’ She was right. At NYLF Medicine, something changed."
Nicole Chapelaine attended NYLF Medicine in 2013 and realized her dream of becoming a nurse just wasn’t enough anymore. She began dreaming bigger. While at the conference she used the resources available to understand different paths available to her to begin a new journey towards becoming an OD. After she returned home, her research continued. She is now concurrently attending nursing school and high school and will graduate from both in 2015. After high school, Nicole will have the option of working as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) while attending college.
